Leading Cuban painter, born in Havana, he was educated in Cuba and Mexico. He executed several murals in Cuba and Puerto Rico. Many of his works have been shown also in Peru, Chile, Haiti, Venezuela, New York, and Miami. He has exhibited in the biennials of São Paulo and Venice. His works are found in many collections in the United States, in Paris, and South America. He won an Honorable Mention at the UNESCO Graphics Biennial in San Juan, and a prize at the Organization of American States “Homage to Picasso” exhibit, in Washington, D.C. He died October 30, 2008, in Westchester, FL.
